Been a while since I updated with an interview, huh? I’ll make up for it today with an article about the latest stranger, Albert Yee.

Albert was born and raised in New York, then moved to college in DC. He didn’t like it there, so moved back to his home state for a while before deciding to move to Philadelphia on a whim. We met up for brunch in late July at Garces Trading Company in the City of Brotherly Love, and he told me all about his work running a restaurant review blog, working at a local food non-profit, his photography, and more.

That’s not Winston, natch. It’s the exterior of Dear John’s, the restaurant in Culver City where we had dinner and he told me all about his move to Los Angeles at the age of 18, his work writing for television, and his present career as editor of a gay porn blog.

Thanks to the magic of my web hosting company I’ve been able to track links in to the interview from gay porn sites such as this one, another one and yet another. The comments on those sites (and mine) tend to be overwhelmingly negative, criticizing Malachi’s remarks about his distaste for performing gay sex. There are a few supportive remarks mixed in there, but you might need a magnifying glass to find them.

However you feel about Mr. Marx, I’m just thankful for your visit to this site. While you’re here, why not request a dinner with me? Maybe your interview will prompt a more favorable response from readers. No promises.

Ahem. This is a just a short post to highlight an exhibition of photographer Lars Stephan’s work in New York City. Lars is a very pleasant chap who sat down to dinner with me for an interview last August, revealing all about his life as a shutterbug.

If you find his work of interest and you happen to live in New York, his exhibition titled “Leap Into The Void — Earth 0.5″ runs through Aug. 21 at a place called Bambule at Envoy Enterprises, 131 Chrystie Street, New York.

Within the next couple of months I’ll be in Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Connecticut (several locations) and more. I already have at least one interview set up for each location but always happy to do more. Oh, and the subject line of this update refers to the fact I’ll be using air, rail and road to transport myself around these diverse locations. Hopefully I won’t run into a John Candy look-a-like who makes my trip hell by maxing out my credit card and burning my car.

Four dinner interviews in the space of three days. I had dinner with a design student, brunch with an abortion rights activist and another dinner with a realtor who blogs about living in Rhode Island.
